Poet and hip hop artist L-FRESH The LION worked with 90 students from Holroyd IEC (Holroyd High School), St Clair High School and Malek Fahd Islamic School (Beaumont Hills), helping them build the confidence to compose and publish their own poetry.
During the workshops, comic artists Leigh Rigozzi and “Chewie” Chan also sketched students with their talismanic objects. An exhibition of selected drawings and commended Poetry Object poems will be displayed at Liverpool City Council Library. Prizes will be awarded for Best Student Poem (Primary), Best Student Poem (Secondary), Best Teacher Poem and Best School Installation.
