Year 8 students from Chrysalis Steiner School took part in a unique poetry workshop with poet, Tamryn Bennett on Friday, September 8, 2017.
The Red Room Poetry Workshop at Chrysalis was specially tailored for student needs and will focus on visual poetry. The day consisted of three intensive workshops. With Tamryn, students will explore the visual roots of languages as symbols, mark making as language mapping and the origins of visual poetry. The workshops encourage students to experiment with a range of visual forms of poetry including erasure poetry, concrete poetry, comics poetry, collage and more.
