Miro Bilbrough is a filmmaker, poet and screenwriting teacher Her poems have been published in Contemporary Australian Feminist Poetry (Hunter Publishers, 2016), Cordite, Otoliths, Landfall, Sport, Pasture, Starch, Best New Zealand Poems 2010, and the debut volume Small-Time Spectre (Kilmog Press, 2010); and her poem ‘Spider silk’ won second equal in the Val Vallis Award 2016. Miro wrote and directed the feature films Being Venice (2012) and Floodhouse (2004), and her short films include Bartleby (2001), Urn (1995) and the Bafta-nominated short animation Bad Baby Amy (2001) for which she wrote the screenplay. She has recently completed a Creative Doctorate of Arts at the Writing & Society Research Centre, Western Sydney University.
