Negar Rezvani is a young Iranian poet and political refugee. In 2013, at the age of 18, she sought asylum in Australia. Negar was forced to live in an offshore processing prison in the middle of the Pacific Ocean for over six years and is currently living with a community detention visa in Australia. She is deprived of the work and study permit.

Her first interview was published in The Guardian in May 2019 while she was still detained. Negar is passionate about creative writing. Her first poem 'My dear prison officer' was featured in The Red Room Poetry.
