Tricia Dearborn

Tricia Dearborn is an award-winning poet who has published three full-length collections – Autobiochemistry (UWAP, 2019), The Ringing World and Frankenstein’s Bathtub. She Reconsiders Life on the Run, an IPSI (International Poetry Studies Institute) Chapbook, was also released in 2019. Individual poems have appeared widely in literary journals in Australia, internationally and online, and her work is represented in significant anthologies including Contemporary Australian Poetry, Australian Poetry since 1788 and The Best Australian Poems. 

Tricia has been an invited reader and panellist at the Sydney Writers’ Festival, the Queensland Poetry Festival and the Newcastle Writers’ Festival, among other literary events. She was a Poet in Residence at the 2019 Poetry on the Move festival, and a judge of the 2019 University of Canberra Vice-Chancellor’s International Poetry Prize. She is on the editorial board of Plumwood Mountain, an online journal of ecopoetry and ecopoetics, and Project Editor for Verity La’s Out of Limbo, publishing work by LGBTQIA+ writers. Her awards include four Australia Council new work grants and a Residential Fellowship at Varuna, the Writers’ House.

Tricia has a degree in chemistry/biochemistry and a Master of Arts, and works as a freelance editor. She lives in Sydney.
