Heather Taylor Johnson’s recent publications are Meanwhile, the Oak (poetry, Five Islands Press) and Jean Harley was Here (novel, UQP)

Heather is the poetry editor for Transnational Literature and is currently editing Shaping The Fractured Self: Poetry of Chronic Illness and Pain. She is passionate about illness narratives, particularly within poetry, and is about to embark on a poetic / epistolary project in conversation with Vincent Van Gogh about illness, art, and where the two intersect. After that, she can’t wait to turn her first (unpublished) novel into a memoir. It’s about lost love, skydiving and the Arizonan desert, all of which bought her to Adelaide in 1999, where she received a PhD in Creative Writing (University of Adelaide) and met a true-blue Aussie man. They have three kids who don’t call her ‘mum’. heathertaylorjohnson.com
