Rachael Mead is a South Australian writer and poet who has been, at various times, an archaeologist, an environmental campaigner, a wedding decorator and a seller of books both old and new.  She is the author of three collections of poetry: Sliding Down the Belly of the World (Wakefield Press 2012), The Sixth Creek (Picaro Press 2013) andThe Quiet Blue World (Garron Publishing 2015).  She was awarded Varuna’s Dorothy Hewett Fellowship for Poetry in 2011 and 2015 and has had work shortlisted in the Adelaide Festival Literature Awards for unpublished manuscripts in 2012 and 2016.   You can find more of her work at http://rachaelmead.com/
