our collars, iridescent violet-green
our hands, manacled, golden chains
our feet, shuffle, platinum corridors
our cells, luxurious yet homely
our guards, generous paternal warmth
our perspective, distorted by
our dreams, ensures this world can
bind us to no master.
written in response to exercise one
