The Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland was formed by poet Judith Wright and three other people in 1962. The aims of Scenic Rim Wildlife are to awaken people to the wonderful diversity of fauna and flora we have in this part of our country and to conserve as much as possible into the future. It does this by holding wildlife workshops, an annual Wildlife Expo, field trips, online discussions and other activities, and offering relevant information and advice to individuals and governments.

The club poet in our Clubs & Societies project was B. R. Dionysius.
