A Call from Heaven

Olive eyes through the fire, a fiery scarlet blaze.
Her fluffy clouds of fur no more
All that is left is the eucalyptus glaze.
Her present soon'll pass in a finger's click.
What will she do, will this be over
When the world ends so quick?
Life flashes before her eyes, the fire is spreading.
What is left to do when the world is ending?
When she had no one left,
Look how that turned out!
If only there was someone to reach out.
But then she sees a thrilling sight:
The fire is dulling, she can see the sky!
The cool sparks of water banish her thirst.
She's lifted from horror, this isn't the worst!
Like a call from heaven, a hand reaches out.
An angel scoops her up, she's saved without a doubt!
A weird feeling overcomes her,
For her guardian saviour
Could this be it: the thing she knows as love?
