The night sky is blank, empty, and bare

It feels naked, barren, and full of despair

The birds sing lullabies, tucked in nice and tight

But in the distance, they catch a glimpse of a dazzling sight

Hues of pink and green seep into the sky

Like a fresh canvas stained with watercolour dye

Lights dance and flow across the atmosphere

They shimmer and flicker, it's awfully clear

It's the Aurora! Shining down her playful gleam

Rivers of light and colour, more vivid than they seem

As her mythical glow illuminates the land,

I think to myself how lucky I am

To see her radiant blaze fill the air

Mysterious and exciting, nothing can compare.
