A Child's Poem

Many days does the child wait

Under the cool shade 

The child is happy but lonely 

The tree comforts her x

Leaves rain down in a thick blanket 

Majestic green leaves slowly swaying in the wind 

She seeks the warm embrace of loving arms 

But she can only wait 

Never learns 

She wonders when, she wonders how 

The warm embrace of loving arms 

Autumn comes 

Majestic green leaves turn orange, gold and red 

The child is gone 

Shipped off to a home 

Do warm loving arms await?
