A Day at the Beach

Sunlight shining bright on the gold blazing hot sand

The ocean full of dazzling crystals and diamonds that cover the land

I look around me and take time to enjoy the view 

The sky's a bewitching blue 

Surrounded by nature, palm trees and greenery

Shiny, hollow and enchanting seashells light up the scenery

People lying down, relaxing and enjoying the sun's rays

While others play in the warm, still and sensuous sea in many ways

Some riding the curved, crisp waves

I could stay here riding them for days

Fishes, seahorses, starfish and sea turtles

Astounding sea creatures emerging from the water below

Then I see the clock moving in circles

It's almost time to go

The games begin

Water bucket relay, limbo, seashell hunt and fly a kite

Astonishing and breathtaking sandcastles along the beach shore

Until the tide comes in and makes them no more

The sky turns purple, pink, red, yellow and orange too

The sun sets and it’s a beautiful view
