A forest Walk

A walk in a forest may seem a bit tedious
but if you know where to look you’ll be amazed
If you look around yourself you might find something new
like the minuscule ants and the fresh hanging dew
Once you’re in the forest you’ll hear a choir of birds
chirp, chirp, chirp it’s a beaked orchestra
Now if you listen a little more carefully
you’ll hear the gentle, quiet whispering breeze
The manmade walkway covered head to toe
in a very organic blanket, clear, rigid snow
The streaking light striking through the trees
makes an illusion of light in the neck of the woods
Soon you feel frosty from the icy, soft snow
and you’ll shiver intently on the spot
Eventually you’ll want to slip on your snug and cosy jacket
and preserve the heavenly warmth in the interior of the coat
Eventually you’ll need to retreat to your godly haven
and rest in front of the fire to feel the heat engulf you
You’ll go on and on about the magnificent forest
and you’ll prepare to visit it again in the morning
