A Helping Hand

A helping hand
Will open the door,
A new society
Emerges from the darkness.

The monstrosity holding us down,
The chains of earth, following behind, burrows down,
Down into the souls of the trees,
But we are better than that.

We know more than to just chop down trees.
They are the foundation of our planet,
The structure of all life.
In the next few centuries,

We are doomed to fail without resources.
That helping hand is the key,
Opening the door to a better future,
Helping us in the long run.

With a shield, there is always a sword to pair with it.
Sustainability is that sword which will kill the monster,
Holding us down from a better, enlightened future.
Change needs to happen, and that time is now!
