lorikeets swoop and dip in the ocean above

                            circling the beautiful banksia below

the loud screeching of cockatoos can be heard for miles and miles

lorikeets soar away and start to circle a blooming grevillea that towers tall into the sky

as they go to fly on the raucous chok chok call of the wattle birds booms across the blue

the loriini glide through the skies once they look down they see the widespread eucalyptus

heard the melodic calls of the rosellas and  they began to move on

they soar over the kangaroo paws and when they do  they can hear the whistles of the honeyeaters and then the lorikeets shoot away

Far off in the distance as far as the loriini can see

 lies a flowering gum tree

then near the gum they begin to hear,  the faint squawks of their children

hearts burst with joy the moment they saw them once again

Home at last. Safe and sound
