As the rain fell hard on the concrete ground

I flowed down the gutter

Through the gloomy gray pipes of the underground

I saw the pitch black of my surroundings

Then I went off to the contaminated rivers of the forest

I watched other discarded pieces like me swim around

Currents dragging them along

And soon the currents come for me

Dragging me down to creek

Down to the stones

And out to big blue bay

I watched creatures swim around

Inspect me

Stare at me

But not for long

A friendly turtle engulfs me

Down to its belly

My new journey begins

The creature will die from my disease

Soon to turn into something new
