Made of engraved wood
My deepest memories locked inside
Memories shove, thrust wanting escape
No matter how hard, they were trapped
Like birds in cages.

I twirl my dainty emerald box around.
Looking into the clear mirror
I can hear our laughter ringing loud and sharp
I can see memories of our joyous times,
Buzz of the busy bees surround us
As we run along the pavements leading us to our future.

Snap, then I realise all of us,
Of her, was gone
All that was left were bitter-sweet memories
Although she has disappeared
From my world
I know she will come
Cheer me up, all I need to do is open my box
Leaving me with a smile as marvellous as the golden sun
Holding a pace in my heart, forever.
