A place in my heart

I gathered my gear,

and set my march down the sand.

Holding my mother and father's hands.

In the water my face sunk down,

an extraordinary sight which left my eyes bewildered.

Schools of fish, 

huddles of coral.

A place that seemed to be full of life.

I stalked down the fish, 

finding myself in a coral reef.

Fish, coral, big and small.

Colorful and dull,

yet all still beautiful.

I moved steadily through big rocks, 

finding myself eye to eye with a giant fish.

Its scales echoed in a line,

true beauty shone.

Though the moment lasted seconds,

I wish it had lasted longer. 

Just like I wish my stay was forever.
