A whisper, a story

Of a tale so long ago

The treasure, the glory

To see the fertile land grow

The dance of the leaves

Against the wind when it blows

The story of a land

That I have yet to know

The beauty of a sunset

To know the evergreen grows

The running and a gush

Of when the water flows

The pond it reflects me

Showing a person I had once known

The stories, they track me

Causing me to glow

I stare at the sky

Morning, noon and night

The stars they sparkle

Showing me a light.
