Abalone Shell

A newborn abalone emerged from the coral reef
Bluewater all around them and green seaweed to feed on
An unknown guardian is nowhere in sight
Lonely they feel but know no other
Obsolete and isolated, trying to keep positive
Now I see something, it looks somewhat like me
Every day I will regret what I thought that day
Shell taken off me, no water to be seen
Hell is coming to life, never been so painful
Ever-going disaster finally stops
Life is over, I have been cut up
Laughing at me now, I have officially been defeated.
