Aren't we Better?

To plastic pollution, a desperate plea,
For sea creatures' lives, we must set free.
Their confusion and persecution must come to an end,
To mend the wounds we foolishly send.
Aren't we better than this, can't we see
The pain and suffering caused by you and me.
Mother Earth cries as sea life falls,
Captured in plastic traps, no escape at all.
Time is ticking, the clock's hands race,
It's time to act, leave no plastic trace.
Search the shorelines, where litter lies,
Plastic bags, bottles, and cans that disguise.
Let’s make a start, patch up these cracks
Mother Earth is counting on us, so nobody slacks,
Rebuild the ecosystems, one step at a time,
End the tragedy of this plastic crime.
With every effort, both great and small,
A brighter future, we shall install.
Let the show end on this plastic tale,
And never forget its deadly fail.
