Australian bush fire

As I trudged into the burnt woods, I could feel the smoke tumble down my throat.
Everyone was evacuating, leaving on wooden boats as big as an elephant.
I screamed for Mum, but there was no response
I fell to my knees my mum left me, now I have to survive by myself.
I started darting as fast as a cheetah.
But then a branch fell down, it wacked me on the forehead.
I woke up to see a man's face looking at me.
He told me that I got knocked out.
He brought me to his house.
He asked if I wanted tea and I said yes please.
He gets me the tea.
I slurp it down as fast as a camel drinking water.
He takes me outside, and I see my mum just staring at me.
A tear drops down my face.
My mum came back to me.
I scurried to my mum and gave her a massive hug.
She said “did you think I wasn’t coming back?"
I nodded, yes I did.
