Australian Sea Lion

The sun is held high 

The clear water is sparkling 

Meeting deep blue skies
 

Sunlight blazes all a-glow 

A flash of brown, white 

The Australian Sea Lion! 

Gliding through the sea.                                      

But behind this calm façade

Lies gaping danger

Entangled in harsh mesh nets

Her life on the line

They say they’re trying to help

But the sea lions 

Are faced with the prospect of

The gaping hole of

Endangered to Extinction
