Barrier Reef Bombarders

I begin my day
As a splash of colour
On the deep blue canvas
Then everything changes
The roaring of an engine
Alerting me to their presence
They throw their junk onto me
They fiddle with me
I wail in pain and in agony
My screams drowned out
By their crackling breaths
I'm faded
I'm jaded
My day has ended
As another forgotten soul in the deep
The jewel of the nation
Has been destroyed
