Birds

Cheeky kookaburra,
Looking at me, 
Cheeky kookaburra what do you see,
With wings as hazel as a person's eyes,
Laughing and laughing at what I see as a surprise,
Hundreds and hundreds of gracious birds,
Surrounding me, this is totally absurd,
Galahs, maggies, budgies too, 
Sparrows, robins, cockatoos,
All of nature's birds right here,
More than I could see in a year,
