Burning Forest

I see smoke, I smell burning trees, like the campfire that keeps me warm and snug. But strong. Intense.

I run.

Birds take flight,

Fire as hot as coals,

Fiery hot flames dancing

Destroying the forest,

My forest,

I run,

Smoke,

I keep running on and on,

I dart between trees, ;;;;;

And collapse to the ground ____

There is nothing I can do .......
