Bush walk

Cockatoos swinging from branch to branch
And the river swishing through the leaves
Worms wriggling,
Bees buzzing,
And eels darting.
Grass…
Whipping across my ankle
Like a spider crawling up my leg.
Bees' hives, honey inside;
Enhancing the smell of the wondrous flowers.
My heart bouncing with excitement
What a wondrous day for a bush walk!
I see Mother Nature's creatures and I feel grateful.
People walking by missing nature's beauty - on their phones.
Don’t they know how much we need her?
