The calm wind whips through the scene,

Serene soundless animals move around.

But then the smoke rolls in,

And now only dark clouds are found.

Fire ferociously flames, foreboding and frightening minds,

Animals bolt, in desperate need to escape.

Trees plummet to the ground,

The mouths of witnesses open in agape.

The fire has waited to pounce like a tiger,

Now it has sprung before a word can be said.

Up and down covering the whole atmosphere,

Quicker than ever it has spread.

Koalas hang to burning oak branches,

Their minds are filled with only panic and dread.

Water springs out from hoses,

The fire dies down.

The ashy mess is devastating,

It has left us all a frown.

After years of replanting the animals home on the earth,

Peace has finally found its way to rebirth.
