Butterflies

They are nature’s tragic heroes

They live most of their lives 

being completely ordinary 

And then, one day 

the unexpected happens. 

A slight change can give

 rise to a massive tidal wave.

They burst from their

cozy cocoons in a blaze of colour

 and become

 utterly extraordinary.

It is the shortest phase

 of each and everyone’s lives,

 but it holds the greatest importance. 

It shows us how empowering

 change can be.

 Because we are all different.
