Camping in a Caravan

Travelling in a van
The sun feels as hot as a frying pan.
Sticks snapping silently,
Splinters feel like spears through my skin.
What an amazing campsite,
The fish in the lake don’t even bite.
Terrifyingly tall trees, called canopies
We light the fire in the afternoon,
I eat my dinner with a spoon.
We leave the marshmallows to roast,
The fire was an elephant I boast.
Staring out at the pond,
Feeling like you have a bond.
Smelling the smoke,
The frogs have a loud CROAK!
A breeze through your hair,
Smelling the fresh air.
Watching the bright orange sunset as the clouds bounced in the sky,
Thinking, this is the best campsite you can get.
