Candle

A simple candle it may seem,
But it can lull me into a deep, sweet dream.
This pink candle burning bright and alive,
Reminds me to never quit but always strive.
The scent of sweet roses in the air,
Relieve me of any stress, sadness and despair.
This candle was my gift after being baptized,
This is a gift that I have always prized.
Only this special candle can comfort me,
And only this lighted candle can remind me at troubled times that belief in life is the key.
