Chess by yourself

Chess is a two player game,
chess has a wonderful name
You can improve your move,
As long as it goes as smooth as a concrete foundation,
Sixty four squares,
Like a race course flag.
The chess pieces curved so well,
Made like a billion dollar ornament delicately being carved
As if it were a forbidden forest that cannot be cut down.
Chess can cause catastrophic complaints And they'll shout until they faint,
It is a game played on the box it comes with
Or a homemade set with a lot of effort,
The pieces look as old and dusty as an abandoned house,
Just left there with the creepy crawlies and nobody to disturb them.
People struggle to understand the wonder of a chess set,
The set being passed down from generation to generation,
Going crack bang as people smash the pieces down,
Being played one by one, who said you can't play alone,
A companion, a foe, a challenge.
