Choking on Choices

You say, “We’ll let the next generation handle it,”

In truth, we are the ones who will bear the weight of your burden, the scars you’ve left behind.

We will be the ones to mend the cracks.

You claim, “This will solve all your problems,” yet all you are doing is leaving us with a mess to clean up.
The fossil fuels you emit are creating layers of CO2 that are suffocating the future of Earth's atmosphere.
My generation is left to breathe in billions of tons of your CO2, facing the harsh consequences of our ancestors.

It’s not fair for us young people to endure the weight of our ancestors’ choices, silencing our voices, choking on gases that were promised to be 'managed' with technologies that barely exist.

We will not allow you to deceive us.                                                                   We will fight for a better future - our future.                                                                 Change is on the way, whether you like it or not.
