As I stand on the edge of the place that

Holds all the memories, past, present and maybe even future.

I peer down to see the rocks gasping for air

As the rapid waves commence, and the storm rages on.

I sense my feet gliding off the rock and my whole body collapses.

As though I’m in a dream, I’m falling.

I feel the wind howling, like it's alive.

Like it's trying to save me.

I feel all the grief hit me in one big wave as my body is falling

In the beauty of the world, as I come crashing down in the deep

Depths of the unknown.

If anything happens to this place I’ll always remember it.

How it was this way, so I tell the next  generation and they all believe

I’ll tell them bit by bit, so everything I say is a cliffhanger.
