Beneath the waves, a world unknown,

In Australia's depths, life's beauty is shown.

Fishes of many hues are hidden in the underwater dome.

The Great Barrier Reef is a gem so bright,

A coral wonderland, a breathtaking sight.

The water, crystal clear

Thriving with life, all so near

Everything swaying with the currents' steers

Coral gardens bathe

Beneath the sun's embrace

Living in peace with no haste

The uninterrupted ecosystem

Which is soon to change

Now faces the fear of a slim chance of escape

Once vibrant, now cold and pale

Resilient but in the end hailed

 To the endless plastic trail

Corals enchanted with lively spells

Were sucked of colour

Leaving a dead hollow shell
