Dented, chipped, ‘Made in China’.
Probably displayed by millions.
Tastes of victory, sweat and fear.
More memories than a camera roll.
Screaming: ‘ON TRACK STAR’,
Silence.
Freezing, second guessing,
Boom!
Panting, running to my pulse
Cheering in my ears,
Air whipping my face,
Relief in the distance,
Satisfaction vaccinates my body.
