Cricket ball

The great cricket ball
Looks nice when it falls
Red and smooth when new
Rough and old if used

People like it shiny so they can try make it swing
And when it hits the bat it goes ding
Then is goes on the floor
And rolls for a magnificent four

A short ball, a bad ball
Around the tight corner, hit for a single
Then the fielding team had a bit of a mingle
Because they got hit for a single

When it comes out of the bowler’s hand
And it comes at the batsman at a fast speed
The ball smashes out the stumps
With a big thump

At the end the match
The balls always the winner
Also making people thinner
And they will be hungry for dinner
