Cry

A new day dawns,
Wind through my arms,
A loving touch.
Then we hear them,
A coughing roar.
We see them.
Their faces,
Pale, alien,
Inside metal shells.
Their shining weapons,
Bite so deeply.
My brothers scream,
They are falling,
Like autumn leaves.
The sun then sets,
On their broken trunks.
They leave us here,
To weep and mourn.
Never realising how long our tears will fall.
