Dementia in a Ring

Smooth metal and diamond touches her hand
Memories shine out
Bright and grand
Memories once held so dear
Now clouded with doubt
Soaring away now unclear
Many years ago
Her mind, bright as gold
Her skin, glistening fresh snow
Days will come when her mind is bound
And the young become old
Memories she once held, destroyed.
Drowned
