Differences

You see shopping as a sanctuary,
A way to escape the drama at your home.
A way for you to spend on your desires.
A way for you to carelessly roam.
Shopping for me, is a forced trip.
Something I see as an obligation,
Something I see as wasted time.
Something I see as pure complication.
But for the first time today, I bought something.
An item that shined out to me,
An item you see as nothing special.
An item that became my cup of tea.
I bought a hardcover leather notebook,
The pages filled with ruled lines.
The pages I could use to write feelings.
The pages I could use to make designs.
Maybe writing will become my sanctuary,
My way to overcome the disorders.
My way to pour out my emotions.
My way to cross the border.
