Dream Catcher

As wind gave way over my bed
Those bad dreams entered my head
The distress I was in would not let me see
The happiness of which dreams could be
Now it is only happiness
That appears in my head
Because of the shape
that I see above thy bed
Its threaded web
Caught all of them
Those dreams that
Had earlier troubled my mind
It drifts them away
far and astray
Its gradient colours
Bent over each other
Like a veil of rainbows
Walking
Its soft feathers
Felt like heaven
As though I was
Touching an angel
The dangling ribbons
Dropped down below
With its sewn on beads
To show the joy
It felt
It's perfectly imperfect
Well that's what I thought
The asymmetrical looks
Gave it meaning
In life
It has the confidence
I need to survive those nights
A dream catcher it was
That hung above my bed
It kept me safe
Hanging on that small
Little thread
