Drifting

Sun seeps into the depths,
tranquility shines,
rhythmic waves
drift through the void.
The peaceful sea is,
an endless mystery
to the living,
A sanctuary to the deceased.
Severed heads lost among corals,
smiling sacrifice concealing sorrow.
Sadness and grief washed away,
storms brew and disperse.
Emotionless shells,
eyes closed,
unwilling to open.
Mouths shut,
uttering no word.
Grinning in unity,
avoiding insanity.
Unknowing silence,
deeper than words.
Sculpted by tides.
stripped of liberty,
society's pawn.
