Dry Sclerophyll Tree

In this forest, you will see,
A grand, rocky path with scenic trees.
They're slower than snails, but bigger than whales.
Taller than a giraffe, so the rain gives it a bath.
A tree with many leaves, slightly lime, but still leafy green.
But so high up, nothing can reach them – not even steam.
From a leaf's perspective it's very misty.
That is why it isn't twisty.

It has a giant trunk, that is not harmed into junk.
It's not very long and it can't hear a gong.

With giant roots, it's valuable loot.
They suck up nutrients from the soil,
And give it to the tree – because they're loyal.
