Earth Poem

Calm and peaceful, birds chirping,

River waters trickling down to the water's edge 

Until people come polluting, 

Billowing smoke through the air,

cutting down trees in our forests, 

dumping oil in the deep blue sea, 

Leaching chemicals in the soil

Plants and creatures of the wild and sea dying,

All because of us.

We need to stop.

Stop now! 

So there will be a world left to live in.
