Elderly Tree

A sacred tree,
that was me.
They loved me,
they prayed for me,
they loved me like I was them.
I saw big water ship,
as it came closer, humans came to the land.
I thought they were more worshippers
but I was wrong horribly wrong.
A few months later the humans started fighting with my worshippers.
Hundreds died, lots of them, most from my worshippers,
then I went into a grave sleep.
I was woken by a sound, a statue being built.
All different types of humans everywhere,
they were all peaceful, they had changed.
There were moving things
but no one noticed me.
Everywhere, above me, below me and under me,
we watched and saw.
The didn’t look,
now I am a nobody.
