Elemental

Your single proton,

Elemental, essential 

water, earth, fire, wind.

I’m always around,

I keep life on earth humming,

Can’t live without me.

Simmers in the sun.

Under the shallow water,

Teeming with wildlife.

Feel the vigour burn

However you brightly ember

Magnesium twelve.

The lively lush land

A chill dances on the wind. 

Nature is at peace.

As black as the night

Invisible to the eye 

Sneaky, stealthy, sly.
