Family Resemblance

Time is pliable:

The mirror opens
Fractured focus forms
Blue ice melts with debris.

A reflection-
Distorted features fray.
Myself mirrored minuscule

Will the image be assimilated?
Light shines-
Realisation?
My identity silvered back to me
Peering in – “Mum?”

Pools rupture
Tears gleam
“Nina?”
My reflection bobs;
her sister’s name.
How can I tell her?

Myself mirrored minuscule;
distortion in her mind.
