Family Tree

A tiny seed is sown
Months pass. A tree then pops out of the ground
But all of this happened long ago; decades, centuries.
It takes you back to the olden days,
Twisting and turning through passages no one has ever seen before,
The roots are deep, it will go on
Its trunk and branches grow and flourish as far as the eye can see
but some branches are broken and have been gnarled though storms. As it groans, winds sweeping through all of its leaves.
Nowadays the tree stands at ease,
Swaying in the wind,
no endless wars to tear it apart,
the tree gets bigger and bigger every day
more branches and leaves as the old tree thrives.
