Forest

Darkness emanates from the depths of the forest,

only for the haze to seep through 

the thick of the trees and,

declarate the fauna that lies under

Vines entangle the unsuspecting traveller passing by,

lit up by the starry sky

Fuelled by the rain, 

rivers flow down the valley,

battering the rocks in their way,

descending the rocky cliffs,

embellishing them with a splash

Daylight corrupted by darkness

stars pinpricked on the night sky

a dance of photons fills the night

turning the sky into an exquisite display of light
